LEED is the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design program from the US Green Building Council (USGBC).

Under the LEED program, developers, builders, and homeowners can earn points toward certification of a structure as "green." Points are earned based on attributes of the building site, water efficiency, energy & atmosphere, material & resources, indoor environmental quality, innovation & design.

Solar Shield Technologies products and services generally fall into the energy & atmosphere category, though some also participate in the material and resources category and indoor environmental quality.
